Biography
Sophia Ficarrotta brings to the Firm her strong commitment to client advocacy. While her current practice includes complex legal issues from property disputes to guardianship and adoption, she also represents clients in education law, domestic violence, employment law, and civil rights and discrimination claims.
Sophia earned her J.D. from Gonzaga University School of Law, where she co-founded the Student Organization for Student Advocacy and served as a student representative on the LGBTQ+ Law Caucus. During law school, she focused on advancing survivors' rights, contributing to amicus curiae briefs for the Washington State Supreme Court on institutional liability for survivors of sexual violence and the United States Supreme Court on Second Amendment protections for survivors of intimate partner terrorism.
Before law school, Sophia graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a B.F.A. in Creative Writing and a minor in Anthropology. An internationally published poet, Sophia brings creativity and empathy to her legal practice, bridging advocacy and storytelling to amplify the voices of those she represents.
