Everett Estate Planning and Probate Attorneys

Cogdill Nichols Rein Wartelle Andrews, our Snohomish County firm, provides advice and a variety of estate planning services for individuals and closely-held companies. When assisting a client in drafting a will or trust or handling probate and estate administration, our attorneys are sensitive to the impact our services will have on our client's emotional and economic well-being. CNRWA has the experience and resources to handle estate planning on behalf of those with large and complex estates, those with special situations, and those with modest estates.

When helping a client with estate planning, we work to achieve a solution that will effectively protect the client's interests and ensure his or her intentions will be carried out, a process that requires careful listening and thorough preparation and attention to detail. At CNRWA our attorneys are committed to providing that quality of counsel.

Our estate planning and probate services

Our attorneys are prepared to assist clients, including those from out of state who have a matter being handled in a Washington State probate court, with a full range of estate planning and probate services:

  • Preparation of wills, community property agreements, living wills/health care directives, and powers of attorney, the elements of a basic estate plan
  • Drafting trusts, including testamentary trusts, trusts for minors, disability trusts, and living trusts
  • Structuring personal injury settlements
  • Establishing a personal representative to pursue a wrongful death claim
  • Guardianships
  • Business succession
  • Probate and estate administration
  • Probate litigation, including will contests and trust contests
  • Community property agreements

Do you need a lawyer to write a will?

If you do not have a large estate, you may be considering drafting your own will, health care directive/living will/physician directive, and durable power of attorney, the documents that every adult should have in place. We urge you to reconsider. Our lawyers have seen sad situations where a document was missing essential elements, leaving the estate at risk. If you would like to discuss your estate planning needs with one of our attorneys, please contact our Everett office.
